Where did Varialift come from?
Mr A Handley came up with the idea of Varialift when he was watching a television program about Airships.
He noted that the main problem with the airships of today was that the Airships lacked a total control of take off and landing, along with having to use ballast to keep the Airship in a state of neutral buoyancy.
A large number of ground crew were also needed to enable a safe take off and landing.
After seeing this an idea was created on a method of being able to control the take off and landing plus lifting heavy cargo by the use of variable buoyancy compartments.
Now with Varialift no ballast has to be loaded or unloaded to make heavy lift possible only the use of the outside air itself is needed.
Only minimal ground crew are required
The problem of a controlled take off and landing from parked position on the ground had been solved.
The development of Varialift Airships has been going on for the past four years.
The mathematics and calculations for Varialift have been checked by independent aeronautical design engineers.

Step Forward for Varialift
The development of the varialift principle has taken a new step forward in recent weeks with the start of construction of two varialift units for proof of concept and test purposes.
